DryTrek “Apex Everest Giveaway” – Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is DryTrek (the “Promoter”), 7 Alpine Drive, Wardle, Rochdale, OL12 9JU, United Kingdom.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
2.2 Employees of DryTrek, its group companies, their immediate families or anyone else professionally connected with this competition are not eligible to enter.
2.3 Influencers, ambassadors and other partners are eligible to enter provided they meet all other eligibility criteria.
2.4 By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they meet all eligibility criteria and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
3. Competition Period
3.1 The competition opens on 1 December 2025 at 00:01 (UK time) and closes on 1 March 2026 at 23:59 (UK time) (the “Competition Period”).
3.2 Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be valid.
4. How to Enter
4.1 Every qualifying order placed on the DryTrek website with a total value of £50 or more (including VAT, excluding any discounts that reduce the order value below £50) during the Competition Period counts as one (1) entry into the competition.
4.2 Entry is linked to the order number.
4.3 There are no product exclusions. All orders of £50 or more qualify, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
4.4 There is no limit to the number of entries per person: each separate qualifying order of £50 or more during the Competition Period counts as one entry.
4.5 No applications via agents, third parties or automated means are accepted. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that it reasonably believes have been made fraudulently or in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
5. Refunds, Cancellations and Invalid Entries
5.1 If a qualifying order is fully refunded, the associated competition entry will be void and removed from the draw.
5.2 If a qualifying order is partially refunded such that the final order value falls below £50, the associated competition entry will be void and removed from the draw.
5.3 If a qualifying order is cancelled or becomes the subject of a chargeback, the related entry may be removed from the draw at the Promoter’s discretion.
6. The Prize
6.1 There is one (1) main prize available to be won.
6.2 The prize is a fully funded Apex Everest Experience on the DryTrek team (the “Prize”), which includes:
- A place at the Apex Everest Event on the DryTrek Team.
- A fitness plan and coaching from an ultra‑marathon coach, to help prepare for the event.
- £500 event entry fee paid.
- All event food provided for the duration of the event (as specified by the event organiser).
- Tent provided for the duration of the event.
- Travel to and from the event within the UK, as arranged or approved by the Promoter (exact travel details to be confirmed directly with the winner).
6.3 Unless expressly stated above, all other costs are the responsibility of the winner, including but not limited to:
- Personal equipment and clothing
- Additional snacks/nutrition (beyond the food provided as part of the event)
- Any accommodation before or after the event dates
- Any visas, passports or documentation (if required)
- Any and all insurance, including travel, medical and personal accident insurance
- Any additional spending money or incidental expenses.
6.4 The prize is subject to availability, the event organiser’s terms, and any reasonable changes required by the Promoter or event partners.
6.5 The Prize is non‑transferable, non‑refundable, and no cash alternative is available.
7. Fitness, Medical and Safety Requirements
7.1 The event is a demanding endurance challenge and requires a suitable level of health and fitness.
7.2 By entering and, if selected, accepting the Prize, the winner confirms that:
- They are in good general health.
- They are fit and able to participate in a strenuous endurance event, subject to any screening or checks required by the event provider and/or coach.
7.3 The winner may be required to:
- Complete a medical or health questionnaire, and/or
- Obtain confirmation from a healthcare professional that they are fit to participate, if requested by the Promoter or event organiser.
7.4 The Promoter and/or event organiser reserves the right to refuse participation or impose reasonable conditions of participation if, in their reasonable opinion, the winner is not fit to take part or would pose a risk to their own safety or that of others.
7.5 The Promoter accepts no responsibility if the winner is unable or unwilling to meet any health, fitness or safety requirements set by the event organiser.
8. Winner Selection and Notification
8.1 After the end of the Competition Period, one (1) winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received.
8.2 The draw will take place within 14 days of the competition closing date.
8.3 The winner will be contacted by email using the email address associated with their qualifying order.
8.4 The winner will have 7 days from the time of the Promoter’s initial email to respond and confirm their acceptance of the Prize.
8.5 If the winner does not respond within 7 days, cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or declines the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and select an alternative winner by random draw from the remaining eligible entries.
8.6 Subject to applicable laws and consents, the Promoter may publish the winner’s first name and town/county on its website and/or social media channels.
8.7 The Promoter will only contact the winner to confirm that they have won the Prize and to arrange fulfilment. The Promoter will never ask the winner to pay any money, fees or charges in order to claim or receive the Prize. Any request for payment or financial information in connection with this competition is not from the Promoter and is likely to be fraudulent.
9. If the Winner Cannot Attend
9.1 If, after accepting the Prize, the winner is later unable to attend the event for any reason (including but not limited to health, work or personal reasons) and cannot reasonably be accommodated on alternative dates (if any), the Promoter reserves the right to:
- Withdraw the Prize from that winner, and
- Re‑draw and award the Prize to another eligible entrant, subject to that entrant meeting all required health and safety checks.
9.2 There is no cash alternative and no compensation will be payable if the winner cannot attend or is unable to satisfy the health and safety requirements.
10. Data Protection
10.1 The Promoter will process entrants’ personal data only to administer the competition, fulfil the Prize, and comply with legal obligations.
10.2 Any additional use of personal data for marketing purposes will be in line with the Promoter’s existing Website Privacy Policy and only where the entrant has provided valid consent (for example, by ticking an email opt‑in box).

11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11.2 Subject to clause 11.1, the Promoter will not be liable for:
- Any personal injury, loss or damage suffered by the winner or any companion in connection with taking up and using the Prize, except where directly caused by the Promoter’s negligence.
- Any failure of third‑party services or events (including the Apex Everest Event or coaching services).
- Any costs, expenses or losses not expressly stated as being included in the Prize.
11.3 Entrants participate in the competition and the winner participates in the event at their own risk, and are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate insurance cover.
12. General
12.1 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend the competition and/or these Terms and Conditions if it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
12.2 Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by an entrant may result in that entrant’s disqualification and forfeiture of any right to the Prize.
12.3 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain valid and enforceable.
12.4 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by English law.
12.5 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or in connection with this competition.
